App permissions
Why does the app request microphone access?
The microphone is used to talk with your squad. Voice search and voice messages in the chat room are not active yet; they are planned for a future update.
What is camera access used for?
The camera lets you take photos to send in the chat room or use as your profile picture.
What location data is known?
The app does not retain your precise location, city, address or IP address. Only your country is known, for statistics and account security.
Why is storage access requested?
Storage is used for the app cache, making startup faster after the first launch, and for sending a photo from your gallery.
What are notifications used for?
They keep you informed about Lv-UP STORE news and activities.
Account, sign-in and updates
How do I sign in to Lv-UP STORE?
You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. Google Play Games is planned but is not available yet.
How does the country help protect my account?
If an account is accessed from a different country than usual, the user receives an email asking them to confirm that they initiated the sign-in.
How do version numbers work?
Versions v1.1 to v1.9 provide bug and security fixes. Versions v2, v3, v4 and later are major updates with new features, and are the most stable. An update can nevertheless introduce new bugs. The next major version can be released as soon as it is considered stable, for example from v1.5; fixes then continue with v2.1, v2.2 and so on.
Chat, comments and reporting
Can I reply and react to messages?
Yes. You can reply to a specific message and react to messages with reactions.
Who can post a comment?
Below ELITE, you can read comments but cannot post them. Commenting is included from the ELITE tier onwards.
How do I report a user?
Any user can report another user to GAME Lv-UP. Reports are handled within a maximum of 24 hours, and the reported user may be contacted by email.
What penalties can apply to the chat room?
If the Terms of Use are breached, a temporary or permanent chat-room ban can apply at any tier. Access to the app's other features is retained.
When can a comment be deleted?
Comments on posts are only deleted if they breach the Terms of Use.
